Your Community: Sustainable Living

One Community at a Time

Click Here to Support Your Community The goal of Your Community, Inc., an Oregon non-profit, is to promote healthier lifestyles and sustainable chemical-free urban living one neighborhood at a time. We encourage stronger environmentally aware communities through volunteerism, education and responsible consumerism.

We promote "buy local" concepts that grow local economies and create sustainable local jobs. We support local small businesses and encourage large corporations to help create ecologically sound prosperity in the communities where they operate. We promote better quality living through "live on less" concepts and self-sufficiency goals.

Toxins cause your liver, kidneys, lungs, colon and skin to work overtime and eventually to malfunction. When your body can’t process a toxin it’s stored in body fat to keep it out of circulation. Your body will produce additional fat if needed to store toxins.

Thousands of chemicals are in common use, but only a portion have undergone significant toxicologic evaluation. What we put on our skin is absorbed into our bodies. Women generally use 12 personal care products a day. They can be exposed to as many as 175 unregulated chemicals and toxic ingredients. Read Report...
